Quality Family Time

Saturday

I spent a lot of time with Kirsten this past weekend, just enjoying her company. We went to breakfast at the Palace Diner in Biddeford, did some grocery shopping, and watched a movie at the theater. Then we laid in bed and watched The Office on my iPad.

Family Night

Tonight we had family night. It was great, as always. We talked about things we each have learned, shared our highlights, and discussed family business. Jenna played us a song on her violin instead of the usual reading. Then, for the discussion, we had a very emotional conversation about Kirsten’s decline in health and what it means to each of us. We held hands and cried together. It was nice to realize that we’re not alone, that we’re all going through this together, and that we have great strength and support in each other. We talked about our fears and ways we can help one another. It was much needed, and very nice. Then, at Kirsten’s request, we had a family hug.

Then we played Phase Ten and ate strawberry shortcake. :)

My assignment for family night was dessert. Kirsten made it for me.
